Corfu island has always been a center of culture. There are many museums and sights most of them located in the town:

Paxoi was the Cultural village of Europe for 2004. It is the ideal island for relaxing and calm holidays. Here you can find caves, small bays and amazing waters. According to the famous legend, Paxoi island would be the southern tip of Corfu island if it wasn’t broken off by the God of Seas, Poseidon, and his trident when he decided that he needs a god’s place to live his love withAmphitrite. In Paxoi there are three main regions-villages, Gaios, Lakka and Loggos. Gaios which is the islandʼs capital, is a beautiful traditional village built around the main port of the island which is protected by two other smaller islands, called AgiosNikolaos and Panagitsa. In Gaios you can find shops, taverns, mini-markets, cafes and some bars. Lakka,is a beautiful, small and sheltered village-harbor located on the North tip of the island and is ideal for the many sailing and motor yachts that stop there during the summer. There are also many shops, restaurants and taverns. Loggos is also a charming village in Paxoi island and there you can also find taverns, shops etc. While you are in Paxoi you should not miss the Venetian fortress of AgiosNikolaos, the English Governor’s House, thePaxi Museum and the churches of the area. Also don’t forget to visit the Olive Museum, which was a traditional olive press, and of course explore the islets around Paxoi and Antipaxi. In July a traditional festival of “Water and Oil” is held dedicated to the folk music.
Antipaxoi is a very small island, but with its blessed outstanding beauty, is considered to be one the most beautiful, must visit islands in the whole world. There, you can find truly unique, crystal clear blue waters offering amazing swimming experiences. It is located about 2NM south of Paxoi island and its name ‘’Antipaxoi’’ means opposite Paxoi island. The most famous beach of this island is called ‘’Voutoumi’’ where a lot of sailing and motor yachts drop anchor for the day. At last don’t forget to buy some of the famous local wine.
Lefkada island belongs towell known "Eptanisa" or Ionian islands. It is a beautiful and peaceful sailing holiday island offering safe waters, magic landscapes and green environment. Lefkada is surrounded by the islands of Meganisi, Kalamos,Kastos, and Skorpiosisland (property of Aristoteles Onassis). It is the only island which is linked to the mainland of Greece, by a floating bridge. The capital of the island is called Lefkada. It is a picturesque town built on a natural harbor, offering both modern and traditional features and many opportunities for walking, entertainment and of course shopping. Nidrivillage is the most cosmopolitan and crowded built along the beach. AgiosNikitas is one of the most famous villages on the islandoffering a small bay and delicious Greek sea food. Nightlife of the island is held within a wide variety of bars and clubs. You can enjoy choices from relaxing music by the sea, to truly vigorous night life with drinking and dancing which you can find in Nidri and Vassiliki. In Lefkas you can find long golden sandy beaches, with crystal clear blue waters. The world famous Porto Katsiki and Egremnoi truly offer breathtaking imposing beauty and azure waters. If you are in Lefkas you should not miss them. Beaches that also worth a visit are: AgiosNikitas, Kathisma, Nikiana, AgiosIoannis, and Vassiliki. Here one can also find many historical monuments, and museums, such as the Naval Museum, the Archaeological Museum, and the Charamogleios Special Library of Lefkas. At last, Lefkada island is an ideal place for kitesurfers and windsurfers .Vassilikibeach and AgiosIoannis are considered to be among the best beaches world wide for such activities. In Lefkas you can also find other water sports such as scuba diving and sea kayaking.
The world famous island Zakynthos or Zante or ‘’fiore di levante’’ which means flower of the east, is the third largest island in the Ionian complex. The island’s capital is called Zakynthos and has to offer something for every taste as there are many restaurants, taverns, shops, cafes and bars. Unfortunately, the town was destroyed during a big earthquake in 1953, but it was rebuilt according to strict antiseismic specifications and with respect to the former architectural structure style. Zakynthos is famous all over the world for the amazing beaches and charming landscapes but more specifically for the ‘’Shipwreck’’ in Greek called ‘’Navagio’’, which is situated to the Eastern part of the island and is accessible only by yacht. Some of the best beaches in the island are:Alikes, Yerakas, Keri, Kalamaki, Layanas, Tsilivi, Vasilikos, Porto Roma, AgiosNikolaos etc. The National marine park of Zakynthos, bay of Layanasetc, is one of the most important sea turtle Caretta-Carettanesting areas in the whole Mediterranean. Kefaloniais the largest of the Ionian seven Islands “Eptanisa’’. Yachtsmen consider Kefaloniaa truly attractive destination for summer yachting vacations. The capital of the island, Argostoli, is at the same time the main port of the island and offers a shelter for yachts. It is a very crowded area especially during the summer. There you can find many restaurants, taverns, cafes, bars and shops, selling traditionalproducts. Once you are at the coasts of the Island you can enjoy pebbly and golden sandbeache, coves, some you can reach only by yacht. Must visit beaches in Kefalonia are: Antisamos, Foki&Emblisi, Fiscardo, Lourdas, Makris&PlatisGialos, Petani, Myrtos, Skala, Ammes, Poros, Kaminia, Koroni, Legadakia. Also good anchorages in Kefaloniaisland are: AgiaKyriaki, Fiscardo, Atheras, Assos, Pessada Bay, Lixouri, and Poros. Some places of interest in Kefalonia are the Archaeological Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Art Museum, the Castle of Saint George,the ‘’AgioiTheodoroi’’ lighthouse offering unique sunset, the Korgialeneios Library and the Monasteryof AgiosGerassimos. At last you in Kefalonia you can find diving centers in Argostoli, in Fiscardo and in Skala.
The world famous Ithaki is known as the home of ‘’Odysseus’’. The adventures of Odysseus during his trip back to home-Ithaca, after the fall of Troy, was the subject of Homer's ‘’Odyssey’’. There are many natural bays and crystal clear watered beaches surrounding Ithaki. The capital of the island is Vathi, which is also a large natural harbor. There is Venetian influence in architecture here too and particularly in Vathi. The main commercial center is also located in Vathi, however you can find traditional taverns and cafes in the villages of Exogi,Frikes, Perachori, Polis, Stavros and Kioni. Regarding the nightlife, in Vathi there are some bars and cafes. Ithaki island has also to offer many beautiful worth to visit beaches such as Loutsa, Sarakiniko, Aetos, Gidaki, Dexa, Filiatro, and Pisaetos. Furthermore in Ithaki there are undiscovered bays and beaches waiting to be explored by yachts. You can find moorings in Vathi, Kioni and Frikes and anchorages inFrikes, AgiosNikolaos, Mavrounas, Vathi, Aetos,Polis, Sarakiniko, and OrmosAndreou. Places of interest are the Maritime Museum as well as the Archaeological Museum of Ithaca. Another Archaeological Museum is located in Stavros on the north of the island, known for the clay mask of the 1st century writing “ΕΥΧΗΝ ΟΔΥΣΣΕΙ” which means “a wish for Odysseus” in Ancient Greek. The famous ‘’Cave of the Nymph’’ where you can experience a visit with a myth, that Odysseus had hidden there the gifts he brought from the land of the Phaeacians. Regarding the gastronomy you should taste the tomato balls, the ‘’savoro fish’’ which is fish fried with vinegar, raisins, rosemary and garlic, the ‘’tserepáto’’ which is meat of chicken charcoal grilled in clay pot and a desert ‘’rivani’’ which is rice embellished with honey.
