INFORMED THAT IN ORDER TO AVOID BATTERY DISCHARGE OR DAMAGE PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU SHOULD RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES EVERYDAY EITHER BY ENGINE CRUISING OR RUNNING THE ENGINE NEUTRAL BUT ON 1.500RPM FOR AT LEAST- MINIMUM 30 MINUTES EVERY TIME THAT THE INDICATION GETS BELOW 11,7V. IF YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO SHORE POWER DURING ALL NIGHT THEN IT IS REQUIRED TO SWITCH OFF THE REFRIGERATOR OR RUN THE ENGINE FROM TIME TO TIME TO KEEP THE VOLTAGE IN NORMAL LEVEL.
INFORMED THAT BEFORE YOU START LIFTING UP YOUR ANCHOR YOU NEED TO RUN THE ENGINE ON NEUTRAL FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES AND THEN START LIFTING THE ANCHOR. ANCHOR CHAIN SHOULD BE IN VERTICAL POSITION WHEN LIFTING SO THAT THE ANCHOR WINCH DOES NOT PULL THE WHOLE BOAT-VESSEL. PLEASE GIVE THE ANCHOR WINCH SHORT BREAKS OF 10 SECONDS WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF LIFTING. THIS WILL SAVE YOUR BATTERIES, YOUR ANCHOR WINCH AND WILL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE YOUR VACATIONS WORRIES FREE. IN CASE OF ANCHOR WINCH OVERHEATING OR MISUSE THE THERMICAL FUSE WILL BREAK THE CIRCUIT SO REMEMBER TO LIFT UP AND REACTIVATE THE THERMICAL FUSE OF THE ANCHOR WINCH
INFORMED HOW TO ACTIVATE AND DEACTIVATE AUTO PILOT AND THAT IN ORDER TO AVOID DAMAGE SHOULD DISENGAGE AUTO-PILOT BEFORE STEERING THE YACHT MANUALLY
Informed never ever to drop any paper or any other objects in the toilet. Unblock Fee applicable
Informed that should not tow the dinghy from the stern while cruising/sailing. When inflated on deck make sure it is not in the way of ropes which may cause damage and secure it down.
Informed that when cruising/sailing all hatches especially at the bow should be closed so water does not enter
Informed that if there is no water remaining in any water tank then should switch off the fresh water pump otherwise the pump will be damaged. When refilled open the tap until water flows, give some time to the air in pipes to escape.
Informed to use only a pencil and not a pen to create courses on the paper sea charts.
Suggested to wear suitable gloves and shoes when you work the anchor winch for protection.
Informed when in any harbor to keep in mind that the depth is enough so a swell from a ferry or any other vessel will not cause a grounding or a hit on the rudder.
In any case of any problem, theft, or accident please report this immediately to Discovery Yachting: Tel. +302310465269, +306988159592, +306948388098, +302661099739. info@discoveryyachting.com, Whatsapp, Viber etc. Onboard you have all the necessary directions printed, to be clear what to do in a stress situation-condition. In case of an immediate necessity of rescue or towage you must consider the following: Always take all measures possible to avoid towage by any vessel. In case this should become unavoidable please contact us. Please do not allow or accept any kind of vessel to tow the Yacht before you negotiate and agree the towage price/fee in advance and in writing.
Informed that you should use your Greek waters Pilot which is onboard to guide you to the safest mooring dock within the chosen harbor. Informed to be aware not to anchor at the top of others and remember not everyone will be as considerate and polite as you.
